Be The Difference! Part 3

"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect." (Romans 12:2 ESV)

This is the difference, Church, between the world and us - our mindset. The way our minds are framed. Totally different from that of the world. And many things they will try to employ so as to change it but they are all in vain for ours is a mind of Christ, a mind that cannot be changed by stones thrown at us or by a firing letter from work for reason of who we are and what we believe.

Make no mistake to take this lightly. Just as we are on the mission to win souls to Christ, so is Satan and all his children are on a mission to evangelize us and turn us back into destruction. And guess where the battle is? You are right, the battle is in our minds. It is in your mind and it is also in my mind. Listen to the apostle Paul:

"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect." (Romans 12:2 ESV)

When we came to Him, that is the first thing that Christ Jesus changed about us, after renewing our spirits by the new birth. He literally gave us a new birth by His Holy Spirit, and then changed the disposition of your and my mind. Hallelujah! I love this.

So then our minds must be firmly fixed and rooted in Christ Jesus so that the world will never be able to change it.

To change a mindset is not an easy thing. It has never been easy by mere human efforts, although manipulations of some sort aids in speeding up the process. But why does the Church sell Christ for a candy. Why? Why do we fall easily for the glitter of this world? Fading glitter.

You must understand that the battle in our minds is also for our minds. Evil and satanic strongholds would greedily love to get hold of your mind, take territory and thereby rule your life. In likeness of manner, the Spirit of Christ also works by getting hold of your mind and remaining the Sovereign rule of your mind. I say better to be ruled by the sweet Spirit of Christ than to be ruled by the heinous, hideous, evil and satanic spirit that lurks in the dark, whose destination is nothing short of hell itself.

You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him."
