Know Him And Listen For His Voice Part 2

by Rachel Ndangi "Hold on to instruction; don’t let go. Guard it, for it is your life." (Proverbs 4:13 HCSB)   What does it mean to guard or to keep something? To guard the Word is to protect the Word; to keep it original and undiluted. Hold fast onto the Word that you have received! It is very important for every child of God to know Jesus for yourself. Therefore, KNOW YOUR GOD FOR YOURSELF! Yes it is possible to know God for yourself. To this the Lord motions us in the book of Jeremiah 29:13, " And ye shall seek Me, and find Me, when ye shall search for Me  with all your heart . "(emphasis mine) "God is no respecter of man"  - a very popular saying! Do you know what it means? It means simply this, that He rewards all man accordingly. Hebrews says  "He is a reward of them that diligently seek Him."  (Heb. 11:6) Whoever will set his mind and his heart to seek the Lord Jesus he shall find the Lord and he will be rewarded accordingly. Justice, Truth And Mercy

Julius King Kwedhi "Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; mercy and loving-kindness and truth go before Your face." Psalm 89:14 AMP I read this passage of scripture so many times. As I read it again this time, a question came to mind, "Why does mercy and truth go before God?" Here is my shot at it. The reasons why Mercy and Truth go before God is this; Truth goes before Him in order to set things right and uphold justice. Mercy, on the other hand, goes before Him in order to appease justice. That is because the angry hand of the just judge, God Almighty, is coming. It is coming because of the sins of man. The hand of God is coming hard at sinners like a train ready to crush the sinner into small pieces of meat. And when God is done dealing with the sinner He thoroughly deals with them. No jokes.  “The judgement of God is according to truth”  (Romans 2:2). The “ Truth ” and nothing but the “ Truth ” is the strong pillar of justice. With

Know Him And Listen For His Voice Part 1

by Rachel Ndangi Shivute "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shall be no priest to me: Seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I also will forget thy children." (Hosea 4:6)   In the above verse, this is what the Lord is saying to Hosea concerning the state of His people; they are destroyed! Why? They lack knowledge. Why? Because they rejected knowledge. How? By not abiding in the word of God, spoken to them in the past, and by not keeping in remembrance the things they were taught. They did not listen to God, as He spoke through his prophet in their time, by not paying attention and listening for His voice. The truth is that false teachers and false prophets will always be among us for as long as the devil looms free. There is nothing we can do about it. The devil, the father of all lies and all deceit, is a deceiver of man. What God requires from you and me is to listen for

The Strong Man Part 3

Julius King Kwedhi 'Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you."' (Hebrews 13:5  ESV ) Our first step to fighting the right battle, perhaps, is this; be content with what God has given you. Recognize that God has given you enough to achieve what He has planned for you to achieve. And stop trying to live other people's dreams. Stop cursing other people's achievements. Stop wishing you were living the successes of others, that is if you have been engaged in such activity. Recognize that your God-given purpose is to achieve and get hold of that for which He has saved you. And that for which He has saved you is attained not by comparing yourself and your success against that of others but by looking at Christ and looking at His set standard as the model for measuring what you have achieved so far. Live to be the man and woman God has created you to be, and not to liv

The Strong Man Part 2

Julius King Kwedhi But who is my enemy? Who is your enemy then? The co-worker who got a promotion? The new guy in class who is top of the class? The business competitor that is attracting more customers than I am? I want you to understand something. Someone can only, and only then, be your enemy when they have, themselves, declared themselves in their hearts, action, word or thought to set themselves against you as enemies. "For the one who is not against us is for us."  (Mark 9:40 ESV) As long as that fellow is not against you in heart, action, thought and word you will not be justified in counting them as enemies. It will be that the moment you recognize them as enemies and have, therefore, set yourself to treat them as such, 'then' you will be the one counted truly as their enemy for you have, then, set yourself to stand against them and to hinder their progress. To wish them failure. Read those precious words again, uttered by the gracious Prince of Peace,

The Strong Man Part 1

by Julius King Kwedhi "But if it is by the Spirit of God that I cast out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. Or how can someone enter a strong man's house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? Then indeed he may plunder his house." (Matthew 12:28-29 ESV) Most of us, if not all, have grown up with a lie. We have lived by an unspoken rule. We have been taught that anyone who is stronger than you, succeeds much more than you, is smarter than you, has more friends than you, got a promotion that you did not, or have gotten grades in school more than you have then that person is an enemy. Against such a person we must set ourselves to compete and defeat. Nothing can be further from the truth. And if anything at all, Satan has been very successful, throughout the generations, at convincing us that anyone who has more than us should be regarded as an enemy, especially when they have achieved or attained what we desired to have and d

Justice, Truth & Mercy

Julius King Kwedhi "Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; mercy and loving-kindness and truth go before Your face." (Psalm 89:14 AMP) The reasons why Mercy and Truth go before God is this; Truth goes before Him in order to uphold justice. And mercy goes before Him in order to appease justice. Because the angry hand of the just God is coming hard at sinners like a train ready to crush the sinner into small pieces of meat, barely able to be recognized by witnesses after the train has done its course. “The judgement of God is according to truth” (Romans 2:2). The “Truth” and nothing but the “Truth” is the strong pillar of justice. Without truth, justice will be done away with and injustice will rule, bearing the inevitable fruit of corruption. That was our former state, corruption. But now we are redeemed and, of us, the Scripture says, “That He may be the Just and the Justifier of those sanctified by faith.” He justified us, by taking us from co

The Ministry of The Holy Spirit

Julius King Kwedhi 5  “But now I go away to Him who sent Me, and none of you asks Me, ‘Where are You going?’  6  But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart. 7  Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.  8  And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:  9  of sin, because they do not believe in Me;  10  of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more;  11  of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged. (John 16:5-11 NKJV) The Ministry of the Holy Spirit is so holy and so grandeur that it also comes with an emergency. He has come, not to play with the hearts of man, but to point all to Christ Jesus and to the Father. Jesus hereby tells us, in detail, what the Ministry of the Holy Spirit entails as He was sent forth to the earth to do a quick
