JESUS AND NICODEMUS

Now there was a certain man among the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler (a leader, an authority) among the Jews, Who came to Jesus at night and said to Him, Rabbi, we know and are certain that You have come from God [as] a Teacher; for no one can do these signs (these wonderworks, these miracles - and produce the proofs) that You do unless God is with him. Nicodemus said to Him, How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter his mother's womb again and be born? Jesus answered, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, unless a man (this includes you Flame) is born of watter and [even] the Spirit, he cannot [ever] enter the kingdom of God. Whatever is born of [from] the flesh is flesh [of the physical is physical]; and what is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not [do not be surprised, astonished] at My (Jesus) telling you, You (including you Flame) must all be born anew (from above). The wind blows (breathes) where it wills; and though you hear its sound, yet you neithe

PRAY

A Song of degrees. Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O LORD. Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications. If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand? But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared. I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope. My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning. Let Israel hope in the LORD: for with the LORD there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption. And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities. (Psalms 130:1-8 KJV)

JESUS IS LORD

Jesus is the Lord of my life. He is. Would say that and mean it as well, from deep down your heart? Maybe yes. Maybe not. Maybe you are not sure of what the word "Lord" mean at all. Is that your case? Maybe you don't know Who is Jesus is at all? Is that your case? Either way, you have not made a mistake to take the time and read this note, because it will enlighten you and give you knowledge, by the power of the Holy Spirit, to know Who Jesus really is. I would like us to look at the Scripture in Philippians 2:5-11. There we will look at the humility, Godship and Lordship of our Saviour King, Jesus Christ. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. The Weapon Of Prayer

The Weapon Of Prayer Ephesians 6:12 -  'For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.'   It's time to pray saints of God. When people harm you, or misuse you. When they slander your name, lie on you, or disregard your very own desire to do the right thing. When you have changed, yet they will not let you live down your past, or when you stand for the truth and yet they tear you down, it's time to pray! Prayer is our weapon, not gossip, backbiting, slander, or violence! We as believers don't react to a spiritual devil by fighting in the physical realm. You can always tell a very immature Christian, because when they get upset or hurt, they will always revert back to worldly methods of revenge. But God said "HE" would fight our battles. Let's grow up Christians and not allow the devil to beat us up in the

2 Masters

2 Masters Deut. 18:14  -  'For these nations, which thou shalt possess, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners: but as for thee, the LORD thy God hath not suffered thee so to do.   One of the main reasons Saints of God today are not being blessed is because they are serving 2 masters. And when I say blessed, I'm not talking about money! Atheists, agnostics, homosexuals, luciferians, etc. all can have money without being blessed of God, so get that out of your head. We have been programmed to hear the word blessing and automatically reach in our wallets and pockets, but working will get you money. God does not have to shovel out cash because he doesn't have cash, men do! So, work and you will havemoney! But when I say blessing, I'm talking about, your children being free from the devils strongholds, your marriage being sound and loving, your home being free from witchcraft, your possessions being safe from robbers and thieves, and most importantl

Prosperity Preaching: Deceitful and Deadly

August 23 Prosperity Preaching: Deceitful and Deadly by John Piper When I read about prosperity-preaching churches, my response is: "If I were not on the inside of Christianity, I wouldn't want in." In other words, if this is the message of Jesus, no thank you. Luring people to Christ to get rich is both deceitful and deadly. It's  deceitful  because when Jesus himself called us, he said things like: "Any one of you who does not renounce all that he has cannot be my disciple" (Luke 14:33). And it's  deadly  because the desire to be rich plunges "people into ruin and destruction" (1 Timothy 6:9). So here is my plea to preachers of the gospel. 1. Don't develop a philosophy of ministry that makes it harder for people to get into heaven. Jesus said, "How difficult it will be for those who have wealth to enter the kingdom of God!" His disciples were astonished, as many in the "prosperity" movement should be. So Jes

'Deny Yourself' - Part 3

'Deny Yourself' - Part 3 1 Peter 5:6 - 'Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:' Being humble does not mean that you are weak. It just means that you are not trying to be in the spotlight or the focus of others. It simply means that you know how to allow God to show himself through you instead of you showing yourself through God. We should never get to the point where we use God to prove something to someone. We cannot use God as a vice to prove that we are special or better than what someone said we are. God is tired of being used by man to make man feel special or uplifted! He struck Herod down in the bible because he will share his glory with no man. God does not give us gifts and callings to overcome negative comments and opinions. He gives us gifts to bring the Kingdom of God to earth! But in so many cases, people have failed in the real world (family, school, job, goals, etc

'Deny Yourself' - Part 2

'Deny Yourself' - Part 2 Mark 8:34 - 'And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.' Self promotion is the opposite of self denial. When you fight to be seen or to be known, you forfeit the promotion of God and chose your own means of exalting yourself and therefore, you become responsible for maintaining your image. In other words, when a person chooses to make their own way, God chooses to let them. And then you become your own source and must depend upon chance, luck, circumstance, and networking to achieve your goals rather than depending on God to make a way for you to be successful and excel. Don't` get me wrong, I am not saying that we should not prepare for success by studying, schooling, learning, and becoming skilled at our abilities and talents, but we should only work towards those things that God has

'Deny Yourself'

'Deny Yourself' Matthew 16:24 - 'Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.' In a time where everything is about "self", it's getting harder and harder to deny ourselves. Our flesh is getting fed so much these days and our spirit man is suffering because of it. You see, the real battle is between the flesh and the spirit. Though we wrestle not against flesh and blood when it comes to fighting the devil, we do fight and war with our flesh when it comes to holiness and righteous living. I'm telling you, the devil's job is getting easier and easier these days because most of the problems we are having as millennium Christians is our own desire to be pleased! We keep striving for more money, more fame, more acknowledgments, and more pleasure while our spirit man is poor and unmotivated. Many of us are being led by ministries and preachers that ar

Obedience and the Lordship of Jesus

Grace Words by Bob Hoekstra Wonderful saints the Lord Jesus is wonderful. He delights in us. He love to be called Lord by us. But as we call Him Lord, we must to do what He has commanded us to do. June 3 Obedience and the Lordship of Jesus But why do you call Me "Lord, Lord," and do not do the things which I say? . . . Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them . . . [and] teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. (Luk_6:46 and Mat_28:19-20) As servants of the new covenant of grace, the Lordship of Jesus is part of our message. "For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord" (2Co_4:5). The early church proclaimed Jesus as Lord. "Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ . . . The word which God sent to the children of Israel, preaching peace t

The Work of the Holy Spirit unto Obedience

Bob Hoekstra by Bob Hoekstra June 2 The Work of the Holy Spirit unto Obedience I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them. (Eze_36:27) When we placed our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, we were born again. We were made new in Christ. "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17). We received a new spiritual heart, as promised of old. "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you" (Eze_36:26). Now, how does a new creature in Christ grow in a life of obedience? Our natural thinking might assume that a Christian could grow in obedience by simply doing his best to walk in the will of God. The next verse in Ezekiel's prophecy reveals that God has a better plan in mind. "I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes." The born again fol
