We Have Hope

by King Julius Kwedhi

What is not easy is not “living a Christian life,” it is rather “not living a Christian life.” Because, for us, the Christians, we have hope and a Helper always by our side. But for the unbelievers, the sinners, they don't have hope at all. They have a deceiver who calls himself their helper. They hold on to anything and everything that looks like, feels like, smells like and glitters like hope, only to realize that they have been holding on to the wind.

We, however, have Hope. The true Hope. A tangible Hope. A persisting Hope. A hope that “maketh not ashamed” (Romans 5:5), and is established by love. Ours is the Hope of glory. Or you may say “a glorious hope” (Col. 1:27). We have Hope.

Further Scripture Reading:

Romans 5:5 ESV  and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
Colossians 1:27 ESV  To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Was a heardsboy at age 10, innocently taking care of stolen sheep. When the rightful owners of the sheep found him, they beat him mercilessly. Was extremely hurt and instead of being rushed to hospital, he was taken to police station. Was further taken to juvenile court and released on proof of innocence. Due to humble background from where he hails from, they were not able to cater for his treatment. This led to Wesley's paralytic state, speech was affected so was his brain. He operated like one whose brain didn't function properly. As Ingobor
