Living To Please God: Giving Your Best To God

“Try to learn what pleases the LORD.”
(Ephesians 5:10 GNB)

Praise the LORD! It is my prayer that having done all, at the end of my time here on earth, Father God will be proud of me and to say to me Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:” (Matthew 25:34 Webster)

It is so sad that people put more of their efforts on things which do not last; vain things, things which are seen and do not last, being temporary.

We live our lives trying so hard to please everybody, trying to please people, and the truth is we will never be able to enough please everybody. We can never fully enough please the people around us that we live with or that we meet in everyday of our lives. Like a servant who by all means work to the best of his ability to please his master but to his surprise ends up being considered as lazy in the eyes of his master, as one who does nothing at all, so are we (children of God) in this world when we target to please everybody or certain people. These people in the end, ends up disappointing us telling us that “You know what, you were so disturbing, unpleasant, miserable and I could not stand you. I wish you were never around me.”

Matter of fact is we do our best for other people trying to get some of if not all of their attentions, thereby being attention seekers, which is actually very dangerous, and we always end up in disappointments, saying to ourselves “I wish I hadn’t done that.” And so many I wish, I wish.

Well despite all of that, since we cannot please everybody, well there is Someone Who accepts us; Someone Who we can really please, and it will all be worth it all the efforts. There is Someone Who, if we are committed to pleasing Him, will surely not disappoint us. He takes our efforts and makes a success out of it. Actually, it is not our efforts that count; what counts is His grace working by faith.

I am talking about the One and Only; I AM THAT I AM, The FIRST and The LAST, and His name is JEHOVAH.

Jehovah takes our faith and enables us to obtain even bigger results; He does not give us up, He loves us, and wants us, you and I, to live the rest of our lives trusting and pleasing Him. He wants us to see and enjoy His goodness, as the scripture reads:

“O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in Him.”
(Psalms 34:8 Webster)

In trusting the LORD, the Bible says:

“...Blessed (fortunate) are all they that put their trust in Him.”
(Psalm 2:12 Webster)
The Bible is clear, and it even went on to say that “…you will never be brought to disappointment, nor to shame...”

You can really please the Lord. And living to please the Lord will be the BEST thing that you will ever do for the rest of your life.

Below I am going to show you how to live your life pleasing the Lord Jesus and I pray that this would help you very much in your Christian journey, pursuing (to follow as an example; to imitate) God. And if you are not a Christian, I pray this will help you to sure make the right decision of making Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Lord of your life and your personal Saviour.

I will take you through a series of practical Christian, every day-to-day life things that you should practice in your journey of pleasing God.

JESUS AND NICODEMUS

Now there was a certain man among the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler (a leader, an authority) among the Jews, Who came to Jesus at night and said to Him, Rabbi, we know and are certain that You have come from God [as] a Teacher; for no one can do these signs (these wonderworks, these miracles - and produce the proofs) that You do unless God is with him. Nicodemus said to Him, How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter his mother's womb again and be born? Jesus answered, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, unless a man (this includes you Flame) is born of watter and [even] the Spirit, he cannot [ever] enter the kingdom of God. Whatever is born of [from] the flesh is flesh [of the physical is physical]; and what is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not [do not be surprised, astonished] at My (Jesus) telling you, You (including you Flame) must all be born anew (from above). The wind blows (breathes) where it wills; and though you hear its sound, yet you neithe
