"But if it is by the Spirit of God that I cast out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. Or how can someone enter a strong man's house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? Then indeed he may plunder his house."
(Matthew 12:28-29 ESV)
(Matthew 12:28-29 ESV)
Most of us, if not all, have grown up with a lie. We have lived by an unspoken rule. We have been taught that anyone who is stronger than you, succeeds much more than you, is smarter than you, has more friends than you, got a promotion that you did not, or have gotten grades in school more than you have then that person is an enemy. Against such a person we must set ourselves to compete and defeat. Nothing can be further from the truth. And if anything at all, Satan has been very successful, throughout the generations, at convincing us that anyone who has more than us should be regarded as an enemy, especially when they have achieved or attained what we desired to have and did not succeed as they have.
I believe it is a trap to live our lives like that, as Children of God. It is a trap to envy a neighbour who has achieved what you have not, and one who has not, by any means, done anything wrong to you. It is a trap to set ourselves as enemies and as competitors against our neighbours who have much more harvest than we have simply because we have less than what they have. I am fully convinced that that is not what God has called us to do. He has called us to a much more higher calling. A calling to live the life that Jesus lived. And Jesus did not live trying to make more money than His neighbour who was a carpenter and made more profit from his furniture than Jesus did simply because.
Now, what does the Bible teach us?
When the Lord Jesus talks about binding the "strong man" He is not talking about just causing havoc for nothing. He is talking about spiritual warfare here. He is talking about conquering our enemies. He is talking about winning spiritual battles that will eventually and inevitably translate into victory over our physical battles. He is talking about winning battles over our real enemy.

Further Scripture Reading:
10 In conclusion, be strong in the Lord [be empowered through your union with Him]; draw your strength from Him [that strength which His boundless might provides].
12 For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the despotisms, against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere.
Ephesians 6:10,12 AMP
