Be The Difference! Part 1

by King Julius Kwedhi

"You are witnesses, and God also, how holy and righteous and blameless was our conduct toward you believers."
1 Thessalonians 2:10 ESV

We have often heard it said "You can take the boy out of the village, but it will surely prove hard to take the village out of him." But this sounds different to how you usually hear it, isn't it? You are used to hearing it thus "You can take the boy out of the village but you cannot take the village out of him." But the second part of this popular quote is not true because you can take the village out of the boy. But if the boy is making this as his bold declaration that you cannot take the village out of him, then know that you won't.

But the mistake we make is this, we limit this principle to the village boy or jungle man scenario only. How about if we apply this same principle to the Church? How about if we, as the Church, make this our bold and confident declaration: "You can take me out of the Church but you cannot take the Church out of me." How about if we throw that against Satan, the enemy of our souls? But those that want to please this world will fume and murmur and complain and argue that this ought not to be. They want the Church, when she participates in music competitions etc., that she sounds just like the world. They want the Church to sing just like Alicia Keys, Michael Jackson, Kanye West, Jay-Z, you name them. They want the Church to play movies just like Bruce Willis, Nicolas Cage etc. They want the Church to dress like Kardashian. What madness! Just because it is a reality TV show it doesn't mean it has to be like the world's. Or does it? Our fragrance is for Jesus, not for the world. We are supposed to point the world to Jesus, not to ourselves. Not to our talents.

When the Church begins to sound like the world then she is no longer offering sweet-smelling sacrifice to Jehovah.

Listen Church, you can do great things that this world has never thought or imagined, all because of the Spirit of Jesus Christ that lives and has His home inside of you. Church, we are called to be the difference, not to compromise to the ways of this world. Our minds must be fixed on Christ so the world doesn't change us to follow it's evil ways.

2 Masters

2 Masters Deut. 18:14  -  'For these nations, which thou shalt possess, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners: but as for thee, the LORD thy God hath not suffered thee so to do.   One of the main reasons Saints of God today are not being blessed is because they are serving 2 masters. And when I say blessed, I'm not talking about money! Atheists, agnostics, homosexuals, luciferians, etc. all can have money without being blessed of God, so get that out of your head. We have been programmed to hear the word blessing and automatically reach in our wallets and pockets, but working will get you money. God does not have to shovel out cash because he doesn't have cash, men do! So, work and you will havemoney! But when I say blessing, I'm talking about, your children being free from the devils strongholds, your marriage being sound and loving, your home being free from witchcraft, your possessions being safe from robbers and ...

Today I Will Make a Difference

Week of June 29 Today I will make a difference. I will begin by controlling my thoughts. A person is the product of his thoughts. I want to be happy and hopeful. Therefore, I will have thoughts that are happy and hopeful. I refuse to be victimized by my circumstances. I will not let petty inconveniences such as stoplights, long lines, and traffic jams be my masters. I will avoid negativism and gossip. Optimism will be my companion, and victory will be my hallmark. Today I will make a difference. I will be grateful for the twenty-four hours that are before me. Time is a precious commodity. I refuse to allow what little time I have to be contaminated by self-pity, anxiety, or boredom. I will face this day with the joy of a child and the courage of a giant. I will drink each minute as though it is my last. When tomorrow comes, today will be gone forever. While it is here, I will use it for loving and giving. Today I will make a difference. I will not let past failures haun...
