"I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live."
(Deuteronomy 30:19)
If you do not make an effort to know Christ for yourself, and to know the truth for yourself, you only have yourself to blame. You can blame it on Pastor, Prophet, Mommy, Daddy, friends or whoever you want to blame, but, here me well, all man will, for themselves, give an account of themselves before God.
God will not need someone to speak on your behalf on that day. Moses said to the Children of Israel, "call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing." And He adviced them saying, "choose life." (Deut. 30:19). The truth is heaven and earth stands as witness against you and I. We have a choice to make; either to draw near to God and know Him more or to draw away from Him and go on in ignorance and sin. We have a choice to either seek the truth or to not seek the truth; to either love the truth or not to love it; to live it or not to live it. And on that day heaven and earth will stand as witnesses. And they will testify.
"And then shall be revealed the lawless one, whom the Lord Jesus shall slay with the breath of His mouth, and bring to nought by the manifestation of His coming; even he, whose coming is according to the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, and with all deceit of unrighteousness for them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God sendeth them a working of error, that they should believe a lie: that they all might be judged who believe not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness."
2 Thessalonians 2:8-12
In the context of this Scripture we have a reason why we should uphold the truth of God's Word; why we should love the truth of God's Word and entertain no lie of the devil and his agents. We should preserve our hearts for the truth of the Lord Jesus Christ and make no room for any lie of the devil.
The agent of falsehood will come with all counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders to deceive them that are perishing. Why are they perishing? Scriptures did not leave us confused and wondering why. The answers is right there, “because they have not loved the truth.”And the delusion of counterfeited miracles, signs and wonders God will send upon them that love not the truth in order that they may believe a lie. This is the judgment of God upon them that love not the truth - those that think it not worthwhile to attain the accurate knowledge of God Jehovah.
I'm reminded of John 3:36 which says, "He that believeth the Son hath eternal life; but he that obeyeth not the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abideth on him."
"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, which hinder the truth in unrighteousness; for that which is known of God is manifested in them; for God manifested it unto them. For the invisible things of him since the creation are clearly seen, being perceived through the thing that are made, because that, knowing God, they glorified him not as God, neither gave thanks; but became vain in their reasoning, and their senseless heart was darkened."
Romans 1:18-21
This is what the Spirit is saying to the Church of today;
"Know Me and walk before Me. Listen for My voice."
