Grace Words |
As I was coming from visiting my pastor-friend, pastor
Prince, yesterday evening, June 27th 2013, the reporter on the radio
news channel that was playing in the car was reading news headlines of the day
and mentioned one in particular that caught my attention and really disturbed
me.
He gave brief news on President Barak Obama’s speech in
Senegal, during his current African tour visit. The president of the United
States of America was telling the African nations to recognize the “gay
rights.” Then the reporter went on to mention that the government of United
States of America and of the European Countries (notice I say the governments) threatened African nations that if they
are not going to “recognize gay rights” then they are going to cut monetary aid to Africa. What a
cunning trap?
It is a cunning coercion. A reverse psychology to make us think
Africa depends on them and they don’t depend on Africa at all, forgetting that
the money they have a large portion of it is from the land of Africa. The
morality of the western government officials is corrupt, I’ll dare to say.
Because this hot issue boils down to the moral values that we each embrace.
What is the basis of their moral values? What determines evil and good. Are
they drawing this from the Holy Scriptures in the Bible or are they using
humanistic and uninformed arguments of a deprived mind that know not wisdom?
Such government officials assume that Africa has to trail
behind them in fear and trembling and has to agree in everything that the
western governments endorse. Africa is not a lost continent. We are not “the
dark continent” anymore as we used to be called. The light of the Gospel of the
Truth of Jesus Christ is shining here now. You cannot deceive us. We are not
unaware.
It is interesting how an issue of homosexuality is causing a
rift between continents and threatens peace and unity. They are treating Africa
as if it is Africa who is the threat to world peace. As if Africa is standing
in the way of progress. Nothing could be more further from the truth.
Yet I hear an interesting voice, too, in this call from
these western nations. I hear a cry of help which echoes the desire for African
support. Only that they want Africa to support their selfish agendas.
Just because the homosexuals were celebrating their day this
week doesn’t mean we have to fear.
But the question comes. What rights of the homosexuals are
being violated in Africa, if at all? Is it that we refuse to legalize
homosexuality in Africa? By the way, why do we refuse to legalize it here in
Africa? What rights of homosexuals are they denied, if any? The right of
speech? Which speech? The right to life? The right to privacy? The right to
lead in a church? Whose church? Are you now going to force the Christian church
to twist scriptures to entertain evil and propagate lies?
Are homosexuals denied education? No. Except for Christian
seminary. And that is because the Bible has not two ways. If you are a
homosexual then you are undoubtedly living in sin and you CANNOT be allowed to
bring that sin into the camp of God’s people. Yes, you may come to church and
hear the message that will set you free from homosexuality, but you cannot be
allowed to shepherd God’s flock. God hates sin and sinners alike. And
homosexuality is no exception. That is why God commands all people everywhere
to repent from their own sins. Repentance is inevitable for the shepherding of
the flock of God.
Are homosexuals denied the right to drive? Not at all. Go
into the streets of Windhoek and you will find them driving. Even in Oshakati
and Lusaka alike. Are homosexuals denied the right to have a job? No. They are
here working. But what is the fuss all about?
Although not all African individuals, Africa recognizes
homosexuality as a perversion. Unnatural. And the Bible is champion at this
recognition. Yet even some of those who are not Christians they also recognize
this distortion and loathe it, too. That is why we Africans speak against it
and discourage it. Is that so hard to understand as understanding that a nation
can have the type of economy that they wish to trade by.
Such perversion is not legalized in most African nations because
it brings judgement upon nations. God’s judgement. Legalizing homosexuality is
as legalizing stealing. Why do we not legalize thievery? Because it is morally
wrong. Stealing and robbing others are evils that spark rage, hatred, and
violate the right to have. Homosexuality, likewise, is morally wrong. And
therefore unconstitutional in many beloved African nations.
God never created two persons in one. The Bible is champion
at hitting that homosexuality is a sin. Even African cultures that are not
Christian do not accept homosexual behaviours because such behaviours are a
result of a mind depraved of the truth. A mind embracing distortion.
Are we going to trade morality for money? God forbid! For the
love of money is the root of all evils. And many who have chased after money
have died a quick death that is inevitable in the money-love-game. Our continent will be even more darker and
filled with foolishness should we legalize that kind of behaviour. Just because
a corrupt official commits corruption because he feels like he is born that way
and cannot be forced to stop being corrupt does not mean we should now legalize
corruption and allow corrupt officials to speak out freely for corruption.
Again I ask those nations that want Africa to embrace
homosexuality, What is your source and guide of your moral values? The Bible?
Surely not. If you had believed the Truth of the Bible you would have embraced
the Truth that all homosexuals shall burn in the lake that burns with fire and
brimstone. O, I do not forget that not everyone believes that. Nevertheless,
the reality of the eternal things, which are more valuable, is not made void by
your failure to see by faith and run with the Truth.
Are your moral value born out of secularism and false
philosophical propagations, which you term scientific findings? No doubt about
that. The secularist does not know the Truth. He wants to please everybody and
sells the Truth and exchanges it for a lie so that he can have “more money.”
What is the end of homosexuality? A culture that knows not the difference between
the right and the left hand. A generation that dishonours mother and father. A
generation that insults God. A generation that gulps sin like water. A
generation that serves Satan in ignorance. A generation that does not know the
true moral code and runs to and fro seeking such morality in vain philosophies
and scientific findings and deceiving many.
Satan is on the mission to cause the whole world to worship
him through cunning ways of governmental policies and international agreements
that break down families and individuals.
But God is also at work. He is at work spreading the
fragrance of the Truth of His Testimony, the Bible. And embedding that truth in
the hearts of African leaders who are wise not to follow corrupt foreign
governments and government officials. God’s work is greater and more rewarding
than Satan’s.
Satan’s agenda is to use powerful nations to bully nations
that are not as powerful as they are, and to coerce such nations into policies
and decisions that serve not these nations but the selfish agenda of the
powerful nations. Do you see such cunning deception?
Call it what you want to call it, but AFRICA SHALL FOREVER
SAY NO TO HOMOSEXUALITY!
Further Scripture Reading:
1 Corinthians 6:9-11 ESV (9) Or do you
not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be
deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men
who practice homosexuality, (10) nor
thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will
inherit the kingdom of God. (11) And such
were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified
in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
Revelation 21:8 ESV But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the
detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and
all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur,
which is the second death."
2 Corinthians 12:9 ESV But he said to me, "My
grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."
Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may
rest upon me.
