HAVE FAITH
Without Faith It Is Impossible To Please God
Faith is one area that in the Bible we are encouraged to hold fast onto. The Bible tells us;
“But without faith it is impossible to please and be satisfactory to Him. For whoever would come near to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He is the rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him [out].”
(Hebrews 11:6 AMP)
“But the just shall live by faith [My righteous servant shall live by his conviction respecting man’s relationship to God and divine things, and holy fervor born of faith and conjoined with it]; and if he draws back and shrinks in fear, My soul has no delight or pleasure in him.”
(Hebrews 10:38 AMP)
In Hebrews 11:6 and 10:38 it is very plain that without faith you cannot please God and God will not have pleasure in you. This means that walking out of (not in) faith is very displeasing to God. Jesus rebuked the people for their faithlessness, and rebuked His disciples for their little faith. (Matthew 17:17; Mark 9:19; Luke 9:41; John 20:27). Jesus told Thomas to “not be faithless and incredulous, but [stop your unbelief and] believe!” Jesus wasn’t joking about that because the moment you start to walk in faithlessness and disbelief God will not grant you your requests, and your relationship with God shatters. It is a very serious thing. To have faith in God means that you put all your trusts in Him, believe in Him, rely on Him, depend on Him, and you are acknowledging that you cannot do anything on your own without Him. You are actually giving over everything into the hands of God and saying “God I need You.” God loves that. He loves it when we make Him number one in our lives – when we make Him the center of our lives. He loves it when we put our hopes and trust in Him, because then we give Him the rightful place that He alone deserves in our hearts. Remember that He is a jealous God and will not suffer anyone or anything to take His position in your life. If you put other things before God the only thing that remains, if you do not repent, is the dreadful judgement of God upon the unbelieving, the thieves and all the wicked people.
It doesn’t matter how much you give to the poor, or how many times you often go to church. None of that will count if you are faithless. It will be pointless if you do not have faith in God. It is by faith and through faith that we are saved and have peace with God, through our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
